Cozy MMO Palia Will Be Launching On Nintendo Switch Later This Year
One of the more interesting announcements out of Nintendo Direct 2023 yesterday was that Singularity 6’s cozy MMO Palia will be launching on Nintendo Switch later this year. The in-development MMO will officially be making its way to Nintendo’s portable console sometime this holiday season.
“Coming soon to PC and now Nintendo Switch, players will step into a breathtaking new world and experience the wonder and charm of Palia through the eyes of their own unique character,” announced Singularity 6. “Players will work together to explore Palia’s immersive landscape, meet a diverse and eclectic cast of characters, and unravel the mysteries of Palia’s ever-evolving world story.”
Meanwhile, there’s still no word on when the highly-awaited title will be launching on PC apart from a massive stress test scheduled for July 6th. The team, however, reassured players that development on the PC build continues and that they’re committed to providing equal support and investment for both the Switch and PC versions of the game.
The FAQ accompanying the announcement also noted that there are currently no plans for releases on other platforms, but the team is actively working on implementing cross-platform play and cross-progression features.
Sign-ups for the upcoming PC stress test is still open for those who want to join the hundreds of thousands of aspiring testers who've thrown their name into the hat.
