Medieval Open World MMO Past Fate Drops New Early Access Teaser Footage

Past Fate has come a long way since it first popped up on our radar back in February 2020, just a few months after it launched its first Kickstarter campaign. Unfortunately, the crowdfunding campaign wasn’t able to reach its $15,000 funding goal in time, which prompted developer Icy North Games to launch a bigger Kickstarter campaign that managed to raise a little over $25,000 just shy of its end date.

The game was originally scheduled to launch into early access in August 2022 but was delayed as Icy North worked to add new features and gameplay systems to the medieval open world MMORPG. The studio now offers a quick peek at the current state of the game with a new preview video that shows a knight making his way down a country road, grabbing quests and taking down a pair of undead enemies.

The video is only about 40 seconds long but it does give us a glimpse of the upcoming game’s graphics, combat, and animations, which, in all honesty, looks a bit lacking at the moment. Icy North, however, promises to introduce more content throughout the year, including new dungeons, zones, and skills, as well as naval combat, crafting, PvP arenas and battlegrounds, and raids.

In the meantime, the developers are gearing up for another alpha test and is now looking for testers to put the game through its paces. If you’re interested, you can simply click on the “Request Access” button on the Past Fate Steam page for a chance to score an invite.
