Path of Exile Expansion Fall of Oriath Launches, Concurrent Playerbase Spikes 10x

Path of Exile 3.0 Fall of Oriath officially launched last night and is off to a remarkable start. According to Steam Charts the game's playerbase increased from ~8,000 concurrent to over 80,000 and hit an all time peak today of 86,645.

The 3.0 expansion for Path of Exile brings with it a LOT of changes. Most notably though it added 6 new acts to the game (acts 5 - 10) and removed the Cruel and Merciless difficulty levels to create a single coherent playthrough. Adding 5 new acts in a single expansion is absolutely incredible and is easily the biggest update to the game since its launch and arguably one of the most content rich expansions ever. There's A LOT of changes, so make sure to check out the full patch notes if you play Path of Exile.

If those are the final acts that complete the story maybe in the future I should check it out.

I wouldn't say 6 new acts , because only act 5/10 are really new the others are made with maps in the game they just added new monsters/quests.

What? Are you saying that all 10 acts aren't unique in setting/appearance? I've only played the game up to act 3 and never even finished it, so I don't know a lot.

No, for them doing 6 "new" acts would take too much time and it would be impossible , instead they recycled some of the maps for act 6 to act 9 from act 1-4 , there are some unique maps aswell but most of them are recycled , only act 5 aka act 10 since you will play it again is truly new. Altough it's not a big deal i still dig it.
