Pearl Abyss Is Taking Over Black Desert Online Publishing In South America

For Black Desert Online PC players in South America, Pearly Abyss will be taking over publishing responsibilities for the game in the region starting on June 23rd. Affected players can now start transferring their accounts from the current publisher, RedFox Games, to Pearl Abyss in preparation for the handover.
“Players who transfer their accounts during this period will receive exclusive rewards, including a special title, a housing item specially designed for South American adventurers, a tier 4 pet, 1000 Cron Stones and more.”
“The shift to Pearl Abyss’s new service will provide South American players with a premium gaming service, customer service and community management in supported languages,” said the studio in the official press release.
Self-publishing Black Desert in regions where local publishers have already laid the groundwork and established the game has been Pearl Abyss’ MO for the past few years. The studio did this in South Korea a few years after the MMORPG launched in the region and later in Japan, North America, and Europe. It also tried to self-publish the game in Russia in 2018 but failed to acquire player account data from GameNet, resulting in the loss of all progression, premium currency, and purchased premium items.
South American players, however, needn’t worry as everything seems to be going according to plan. Account transfers can be initiated through the Black Desert Online official site for the region.
