Phantasy Star Online 2 Global's Episode 5 Update Launches September 30

Sega announced today that Phantasy Star Online 2 Global will be launching its Episode 5 update on September 30th which comes just a month or so after the launch of Episode 4 in August. Episode 5 continues the game's storyline and increases the game's level cap to 90. Also included are new ARKS missions, new areas to explore, enemies, new quest types, new Alliance Quarters, and more.

The game launched earlier this year with episodes 1-3 and promised to launch episodes 4, 5, and 6 by the end of 2020 and they seem to be on pace to hit that target.

In Episode 5, following the aid of those on Earth, players discover a mysterious portal that leads to another dimension, called "Omega." This world seems driven purely by fantasy, a world of swords and magic instead of technology and science. The two worlds are in direct contrast with each other, and as the story progresses, players will frequently move between them while observing the strange similarities these worlds share. Simultaneously, a mysterious woman who calls herself "Alma" appears, and she seems to have information about Omega and–strangely–about ARKS.
