PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is not only dominating the Battle Royale genre, it’s also dominating Steam. According to Gamasutra, the last-man standing shooter broke the record for concurrent players on Steam over the weekend, hitting its all-time peak of 1,342,857 players and surpassing the Dota 2 all-time concurrent player record by nearly 50,000 players.

PUBG launched on Steam Early Access six months ago and has since sold over 10 million copies. The game also broke the most-played game record on Steam three weeks ago, again edging out Valve’s Dota 2 record.

Gamasutra also reports that the game’s exponential growth could be due to its immense popularity with CS: GO players, which, according to SteamSpy, make up around 55 percent of PUBG owners. PUBG’s playerbase is bound to grow even more when it makes its way to Xbox One later this year.
