PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Hits 1 Million Sales On Xbox One

PlayerUnknowns Battlegrounds has proven to be the breakout sensation in 2017. The game has sold over 26 million copies on PC since entering Early Access back in March. It seems that success has carried over to the Xbox One.

The Xbox One version of PUBG hit 1 million copies sold 48 hours after its release on December 12. The initial critic responses were hard on the game's console port, claiming it suffered from performance issues, low quality artwork, and other issues. Considering the PC version has been plagued by bugs and performance issues for months, I doubt these issues will get in the way of sales.

Microsoft is so pleased to have PUBG as a console exclusive that it will be packaging the title with their new Xbox One X console for the holidays. Xbox One X is Microsoft's answer to Sony's Playstation 4 Pro. The new Xbox One X offers support for 4K resolution, and promises to run certain new and existing Xbox One titles at higher frame rates.
