PLAYERUNKNOWN's Battlegrounds Is Now Up For Pre-Order, Closed Beta Access Included

PLAYERUNKNOWN's Battlegrounds has quite a lot of hype behind it. TERA developer Bluehole Studio's upcoming battle royale title broke 20k concurrent users over the weekend during its DUOs test, which forced players to queue in pairs. Following that success, it was announced today that the game is now up for pre-order.

There are two editions of the game up for pre-order at present. They are as follows.

  • Standard Edition ($29.99): One full game copy of PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS and instant access to CBT (1 Beta Key)
  • Deluxe Edition ($39.99): One full game copy of PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS, instant access to the CBT (2 Beta Keys), plus exclusive limited edition PLAYERUNKNOWN skins.

Both editions contain Closed Beta keys, but access isn't as "instant" as the pre-order page might have you think. While you can activate your key and install the game now, the servers will only be open on weekends, with the next Closed Beta weekend beginning this Friday, March 10th. You can find the full Closed Beta schedule on the official website.
