Playwith Interactive Relaunching ELOA on Steam as Warlords Awakening

South Korean game developer Playwith Interactive, best known for Rohan Online and Seal Online, announced today that they'll be re-launching ELOA as Warlords Awakening on Steam sometime this summer with early access set to begin in July. It will be available as a buy to play title starting at $11.99. The game is launching with 5 playable classes: Blood Knight, Mage Psychic, Sniper, Assassin, and Warrior.

While the game's Steam page makes no mention of ELOA, the game's trailer looks quite similar and the core gameplay mechanics outlined on the Steam page (3 different fighting styles) match ELOA quite perfectly.

Warlords Awakening MMORPG Trailer (Steam)

For those unfamiliar with ELOA (Elite Lord of Alliance), the game launched back in 2015 but shutdown after failing to attract a big enough playerbase to support itself. While Webzen seems to have failed with the game, Playwith Interactive looks to be reviving the game and trying their luck with the title.

Warlords Awakening arrives with vast and beautiful maps to explore. Areas invaded by hordes of monsters that challenge the strength of even the most powerful lords. Dangerous dungeons guarded by the most terrifying enemies await those willing to challenge them. With a revolutionary Action-MMORPG style, you can change your Battle Stance mid-combat with 3 different skill trees instantly. Pets are more than just companions! Rareness and the race of your pets will all come into play as they provide distinct benefits to help you along your journey. Some can be used as mounts to help you go wherever you would like.”

While i'm glad to see the game relaunching, I find it a bit ridiculous that its launching as a buy to play title. It seems more like a cash grab than anything else at this point.
