Pool Nation FX Launches, Now Free-To-Play

The long-awaited PC port of Pool Nation FX is finally out of Early Access. But that's not all. The hyper-realistic pool simulation with persistent online pool halls is now free-to-play, supported by various DLC purchases.

The move to a free-to-play model was detailed in a Steam Community update several days ago. Free-to-play users will have access to "limitless" online 8-ball, an "offline practice mode," a "Daily Match Bonus," a Daily Trickshot Challenge, and all collectibles, including cues, decals, locations, and more. Users can upgrade their offline experience—including a full campaign mode—for $8.99 and their online experience for $3.99. Purchasing both DLC packs sets the full price of the game set at the previous $12.99. All previous purchases will have access to these DLC packs, as per this forum post.
