Pre-Registration Opens for Mobile MMORPG Mir 4 Which Will Support "Blockchain Technology"

Global pre-registration for the Korean developed mobile MMORPG Mir 4 opened on July 29, 2021. Developed by WeMade Entertainment, Mir 4 is the latest title in the venerable franchise which got its start back in 2001 with The Legend of Mir 2. The classic isometric MMORPG and its 2004 sequel, The Legend of Mir 3, were among the most popular titles in the first generation of graphic MMORPGs and continue to attract a cult following to this day.

Mir 4 was first announced back in July 2016 and released in its home market for Korea back in November 2020. WeMade is relying on several gimmicks to try and drum up hype for the global release. The official press release announcing the pre-registration includes a bit about how Mir 4 will support "blockchain technology" by allowing players to mint 'NFTs' of their digital goods to facilitate buying, selling, and trading.

Since the game is already released in Korea, there are plenty of gameplay videos available on YouTube. The mobile MMORPG market is highly competitive so Mir 4 will have stiff competition during its global release. A Closed Beta is scheduled between August 5-8th 2021. A full release is expected by October 26, 2021.
