Open-Tibia MMORPG Ravendawn Online started closed beta testing earlier this week to a very good turnout, with over 2,000 players wanting to get in in the first few minutes after the server opened. That’s all well and good for its developer, Living Phoenix Entertainment, but the more important topic of this piece is the upcoming blockchain version of the sandbox MMORPG called RavenQuest.

RavenQuest was first announced back in January as Ravendawn Eternal promising the same hallmark features as the original game but with play-to-earn mechanics. Players will supposedly be able to earn crypto tokens by engaging in various in-game activities and purchase NFT real estate within the game world. Living Phoenix, however, maintains that RaveQuest will be offer a “game first experience” with blockchain elements coming in second.

Living Phoenix is looking to start alpha testing for the blockchain version on October 27th. You can check out the official alpha announcement trailer below.
