Recent Lineage Mobile Games Are Dominating Korean App Stores

Lineage 2: Revolution has been an instant hit in South Korea. In fact, it has become such a hit that, according to Inven, less than 24 hours after it launched, it took the #1 spot on the South Korean App Store. It then took over the #1 spot on the South Korean Google Play store within 72 hours of launch.

What makes Lineage 2: Revolution's success even more significant is the fact that the game it knocked out of first place is Lineage: Red Knights. That's right. On the South Korean App Store and Google Play store, the two top games belong to the Lineage franchise.

Inven also included a few interesting stats. According to app analyst Wise App, Lineage 2: Revolution is already installed on over 1.3 million Korean smartphones, putting it in 36th place in terms of all Android apps that are available in South Korea and in 2nd place in terms of all Android games available in South Korea, second only to Clash Royale. A survey of 19,625 Android users revealed that 93% of those installing the game are male.
