RIFT Goes Offline For An Extended Time Leading Players To Assume The Worst

RIFT players in North America were caught off guard this week when a routine server restart turned into an extended period of downtime lasting from Tuesday to Thursday morning. The unexpected outage added to existing concerns about the game’s future, especially since Gamigo had cancelled or pawned off several titles earlier this year, causing fans to assume the worst.
In response, a Gamigo representative took to Discord early Tuesday morning to acknowledge the ongoing server issues. As of last night, the company assured players that they would receive some form of compensation once the problems were resolved. The servers came back online early this morning with Gamigo continuing to monitor their performance just in case they needed to take the servers offline again for maintenance.
Unfortunately, players are still reporting significant lag spikes, which could be indications that the server issues have yet to be completely resolved. The good news is that Gamigo is still running the show and hopefully won’t be pawning off the fantasy MMORPG just yet. We’ll be sure to keep you in the loop of any new developments.
