Riot Games Co-founder Marc "Tryndamere" Merrill Teases MMO Development

Riot Games Co-Founder Marc "Tryndamere" Merrill tweeted yesterday "Should we build a MMO? Yay or nay? The tweet comes after Riot released their map of Runeterra (the world of League of Legends) which revealed a lot of lore behind the game.

While this tweet doesn't mean much of anything by itself, Riot Games has hinted in the past that they're working on other projects besides League of Legends. After all, the company is called Riot Games (plural).

Given how much money League of Legends brings in (nearly $2b a year) and Riot's parent company (Tencent Games), they definitely have the resources to make a fully fledged MMO.

Update July 27, 2018: According to Riot Games the tweet wasn't meant to be taken seriously. Rip LoL MMORPG dreams.
