Developer United Front Games has boarded up its doors after just launching Smash+Grab through Steam; the Early Access title is no longer available for purchase. The company is best known for developing Sleeping Dogs—a game I enjoyed playing.

After Sleeping Dogs the developer tried their luck with Triad Wars, a game loosely set in the same universe offering asynchronous interactions. It was shut down before launching. I ran through Triad Wars in a video.

The rumor arrives at a strange time: Smash+Grab was in the midst of a free weekend. Even without a price tag the game never managed to generate a large playerbase in its short run. We had a chance to play the game for Sunday Funday, which you can watch below.

We're sorry to hear about United Front Games' closure and wish everyone affected the best of luck.
