RuneScape "NextGen" Accidentally Leaked During Livestream

During a recent RuneScape livestream, Jagex Mod Shauny accidentally leaked a logo for something called "NextGen." While it was accidental, and Shauny immediately attempted to cut the stream off after realizing his mistake, this is the internet and the incident was saved and the relevant footage can be found embedded below.

While we have absolutely no details about the potential "NextGen" project at this time, whether it is yet another update to the game a la the NXT client or a new game altogether, there are a number of theories about the leak itself. While the official RuneScape subreddit is mostly just rallying behind Shauny, worried that he might be fired for the mistake, other subreddits like r/mmorpg are largely insistent that the "leak" was fake, having been staged by Jagex to slowly unveil its new project in a more dramatic way. Despite that theory, it is said that the official RuneScape subreddit's mods are attempting to hide any threads that discuss the accidental NextGen reveal, albeit I have yet to find any confirmation that that is indeed what is happening.
