RuneScape's Menaphos Expansion Will Include Loot-Grabbing Activity The Shifting Tombs

With RuneScape's Menaphos: The Golden City expansion fast approaching, Jagex has taken it among themselves to begin revealing some of the expansion's contents. Today, the company unveiled a "new and fast-paced skilling activity for mid- and high-level players" called "The Shifting Tombs."

The Shifting Tombs is an activity in which players have five minutes to run through procedurally-generated catacombs and grab as much loot as they can get their hands on. Loot can be found in urns, laying around in the tombs, by solving "intricate puzzles" that open sarcophagi, and by "[mining] giant crystals." Doing any of the aforementioned actions will ultimately help "[clear] the dark corruption that has seeped and spread throughout the world."

The Shifting Tombs will open on June 5th with the release of Menaphos: The Golden City. You can learn more about the activity by watching the video embedded below.
