Adult-Only Vampire MMORPG Shadow’s Kiss Launches Into Early Access On Steam

Pucker up and get those luscious lips ready because Clockwork Throne’s adult-only vampire MMORPG, Shadow’s Kiss, has officially launched into early access on Steam. The game is described as a modern gothic vampire game that features turn-based combat, a classless progression system, horror, intrigue, and mature themes which include “supernatural sexy encounters.”

“Enter a world of gothic vampires, steampunk hunters, technological necromancers, Victorian ghosts, and the unquiet dead. Shadow’s Kiss is an online vampire roleplaying game, set in the fictional city of San Cipriano, where the player is cast as a fledgling vampire learning to survive in her new world of ruthless monsters and intrigue.”

Apparently, you’ll be able to progress through the game by building alliances, using intimidation, or by using your powers of seduction, hence the R18 rating. You’ll also be able to drain mortals of their blood and have them work for you or use necromancy to raise the dead to serve you.

Shadow’s Kiss was Kickstarted back in December 2017 and launched into early access earlier this month. Clockwork Thrones is charging $29.99 for the game, although you might want to hold off until full release or at least until the team can get around to fixing everything that’s broken, which seems to be literally everything.

The game has received mostly negative reviews complaining about its low quality graphics and textures, poorly optimized controls, glitchy AI, and a whole lot of bugs, not to mention the cash shop which is reportedly selling some items for $100, although they did say that it was “interesting” at the very least but needs a lot more work.

“You know how some people like to eat Cookie Dough instead of waiting for the actual cookies?” wrote one player. “Well Shadow's Kiss decides to have you eat all the ingredients individually while they are still in the wrapper.”
