Smash+Grab's First Free Weekend Is Already Here

Despite our own positive impressions of the game during Sunday Funday Round 63, according to Steam Charts, Smash+Grab started out with mediocre numbers and began to immediately dwindle to a small playerbase of approximately 100 concurrent players at any one time. Perhaps that is why United Front Games opted to hold a free weekend for the game this weekend. From now until Tuesday at 12 PM PDT, you can take to the streets, rob stores, and beat up other players in a race to $50,000 worth of product stolen completely for free.

To download Smash+Grab so that you can play during the free weekend, simply head over to the Steam store page. Should you decide you want to buy it after playing for a while, it is discounted to $16.99 during the free weekend. According to United Front, since the beginning of Early Access, the game has been patched seven times and 63 "big improvements" have been made, "including Crew Commands." Content updates including "new characters, maps, modes and more" are planned.
