Smite Introduces First Celtic God, The Morrigan

To start off the Celtic Pantheon, and the new year, Smite is introducing its first Celtic God, The Morrigan, Phantom Queen. She will enter the battlefield along with the 3.25 patch early this month.

“The Morrigan is a complex and mysterious Goddess in lore, and her personality and abilities in SMITE are focused around the same concepts,” said A.J. “HiRezAjax” Walker, Lead Designer on SMITE. “She should be quite a challenge for even the most seasoned Smite players!”

The Morrigan is a master of conjuring illusions, creating doubles of herself to trick opponents and unleash surreptitious attacks. But it's her ultimate that makes her stand out. She can transform into any hero on the field, temporarily copying their stats and abilities. We're still not clear on what happens if a Morrigan transforms into a Morrigan.

A new event called Path of the Phantom Queen will go live alongside patch 3.25m giving player the opportunity to roll some dice, complete quests, and earn rewards like exclusive skins.
