SNK Gives Us Our First Look At The King Of Fighters World

You guys are hyped for The King of Fighters World, right? A series that we know and love here in the West is getting a mobile MMORPG; what isn't there to be hyped about? Yesterday, SNK gave Chinese media their first lookat the new game and 17173 has the details.

The King of Fighters World is primarily going to be based in two different gameplay concepts. They translate to "gorgeous fighting" and "3D panoramic free city." Players will be able to explore an open world city, experiencing a large number of "scenes" that are said to have been "perfectly transplanted [into] the game." Various dessert shops, hospitals, restaurants, supermarkets, and more are represented in the game world. You can even go to a bar, should you want to.

As they explore the city, players will receive missions by phone. If you answer the the phone when it rings, it will start a video call, as you can see in the image above. Additionally, all of the phone calls are completely voiced over by famous Japanese voice actors and actresses.

The game will also feature a stadium in which 3v3 fights will be conducted. No further details about these fights have been unveiled as of yet.
