Star Citizen Kicks Off Another Free Fly Event With Referral Bonuses For Existing Players
Star Citizen is running another Free Fly event to help draw more players into its persistent sci-fi sandbox universe. The free-play event will allow new players to explore the entire game world with a handful of free ships that you can use to get around.
Developer Cloud Imperium Games is also encouraging existing Star Citizen players to invite their friends into the game with a special referral bonus as part of its Red Festival Lunar New Year event. Both recruiter and recruit will receive a Drake Dragonfly cosmetic pack, a Ravager shotgun, an undershirt, and a full armor suit once the recruit spends at least $40 in the pledge store.
Red envelopes will also be scattered around the Stanton System which can be exchanged at traders for a good chunk of in-game currency. The Red Festival will run until February 26 while the Free Fly event will run until February 15.
