Star Trek Online has seen a cancellation at one studio and a change in publisher at another, but despite that, it has managed to stay online for six years. Cryptic's digital version of the Final Frontier is celebrating this achievement with the return of the Anniversary Event. From January 28th to February 24th, various in-game events are going to be held, including the Omega Molecule Stabilization mini-games and a new episode called Time and Tide.

The Omega Molecule Stabilization event is a "series of mini-games" in which players collect Omega particles that have been scattered around by Q. By stabilizing them in various mini-games, players will earn "Sixth Anniversary Prize Vouchers." A Tier 6 Krenim Science Vessel can be obtained by trading in 1000 of these vouchers.

Time and Tide is a new episode set "hundreds of years in the future." It follows the story of the Temporal Accords and what lead to them being signed.

Additionally, from January 26th to February 1st, Anniversary C-Store Giveaways will be occurring. Players will be given "free rewards" every 24 hours. The giveaway items will be revealed here beginning next Tuesday.
