Star Wars: Battlefront Released Today

Electronic Arts' Star Wars: Battlefront has released today, November 17, 2015, but will players flock to a far away galaxy or are they too distracted by other titles? Superdata Research asserted last month that the fantasy–sci-fi Battlefield title would be a financial disappointment and I argued that Battlefront would benefit from a free-to-play payment model (not that such a transition would happen).

Being Star Wars simply isn't enough to tear players away from the wastelands of Fallout 4 or the exaggerated future of Call of Duty: Black Ops III. Parents can't decorate their kids' holidays with every gift on their wishlist.

I am interested in playing Star Wars: Battlefront, as a long time fan of the series, but at a $60 price tag I'll wait for patience to reward me.
