Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Will Be Coming To SMITE In November
Hi-Rez Studios will soon be adding a quartet of familiar pizza-munching ninjas to their mythology-inspired MOBA SMITE in the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover event. The event will feature Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo skins for existing gods, complete with their arsenal of iconic weapons and gadgets, as part of the new TMNT Battle Pass.
Players who purchase the battle pass will immediately gain access to Leonardo Osiris. They will then need to play the game to unlock Raphael Loki, Michelangelo Mercury, and Donatello Sun Wukong. The Battle Pass will also feature a whole host of TMNT content for fans of the series including a Mouser ward skin and a global “Cowabunga!” emote. Shredder Ravana and Splinter Hachiman skins will also be available for purchase separately.
“We’ve created all-new models, rigging, animations, and effects to really bring the Turtles into the Battleground of the Gods. They may use the abilities of existing SMITE gods, but they’re essentially all-new characters,” said Executive Producer Travis Brown in the official press release.
“SMITE is all about blending diverse mythologies and fictional universes, in a way no other game can. You can play as Zeus, Bob Ross, or Cthulhu and you can fight King Arthur or Avatar Aang—and now we’re adding the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to the Battleground,” adds Hi-Rez Brand Director of Live Games Alex Cantatore.
