Tencent Announces Transformers Online

According to MMOCulture, Tencent announced at ChinaJoy today that it is developing a new Transformers FPS called Transformers Online. The title is Unreal Engine 4-powered, and features what appears to be a mix of Transformers eras.

From what little we can see of gameplay, the game does bear quite the resemblance to Overwatch, particularly in the starting zone for each match. It is not known whether the game feature Autobots vs. Decepticons matches or a mix of the two factions on each team.

The last time a free-to-play online Transformers title was created, Jagex's Transformers Universe MOBA was the result. With any luck, Tencent's Transformers Online will see more success.
