TERA's Valkyrie Class Gives You An Excuse To Play As A Castanic Again

You may have noticed that, in recent times, En Masse Entertainment has been following a trend of gender-locking and race-locking...all of TERA's new classes. The Elin have seen quite a bit of love, having received both the Reaper and Ninja classes and the Humans received the Brawler. Sure, you could have played as a Castanic Gunner, but you could also play as a Human Gunner. If you want to be a Valkyrie, however, you have to play as a Castanic female, giving you exactly the excuse you need to play as TERA's demonic race again.

For those that are unaware, the Valkyrie class is a new DPS melee class—as if TERA didn't have enough of those already. It wields a runeglaive, which is a polearm that looks somewhat like a guandao. Its abilities focus primarily on DPS and mobility, allowing players to deftly dance around their targets in combat.

The class went live earlier today with the release of the Honorbound update. In addition to introducing the Valkyrie class, Honorbound included an increase in the difficulty of monsters in the open world and a rebalance of various leveling dungeons.
