Ubisoft Kicks Off The Division 2 Open Beta Test This Friday
Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is slowly inching towards its official launch date and Ubisoft is prepping to give the public a taste of what’s in store for players when the the upcoming post-apocalyptic shooter launches on March 15. If you weren’t lucky enough to get into the private beta test a few weeks ago, you can take the game out for a spin during this weekend’s free open beta test.
“Welcome to The Division 2 Open Beta! If you did not get the chance to participate in our Private Beta phase, now is your chance! Available from March 1 – 4 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, we want to welcome you as you take your first steps into Washington, D.C. The beta introduces you to some of the unique features The Division 2 has to offer—main missions, side missions, open world activities, and one of the three Dark Zones—to name a few.”
This weekend’s open beta test will also feature three playable specializations, 4v4 PvP Skirmish, and an Invaded endgame mission.
If you’re one of the private beta testers you can look forward to even more content this time around. For starters, the level cap has been increased from level 7 to level 8. A new story mission, the new Chem Launcher skill, two Settlement Projects, and a new Skirmish map – Capitol Ruins. Unfortunately, your progress during the private beta won’t carry over to this weekend’s testing phase just as your open beta progress won’t be transferred to the live servers on launch day.
The beta test will be open to everyone on all platforms and will run from March 1st through March 4th. Find out more on The Division 2 official site. Oh, and there’s a brand new open beta trailer which you can check out right after the jump.
