The Elder Scrolls Online Looks To The Future With Housing, Champion Points, And More

In a new post from Game Director Matt Firor, plans for this year's updates to The Elder Scrolls Online are discussed in some detail. Perhaps the most exciting is the mention of player housing that is casually slipped into the "DLC and Update Plan" segment of the post. No details are given, unfortunately, with Firor noting that we can "expect to see information [...] in the future."

Firor also states that the team at Zenimax Online are "still committed" to removing Veteran Ranks. A new system will allow players to earn Champion Points in place of Veteran Ranks—up to a limit of 501 Champion Points—that can be used to "to further augment your character via the Champion System." At present, the new system is scheduled to be added as part of the Dark Brotherhood update in Q2 2016.

Quite a bit more is discussed in the post. The Justice System will not have a PvP component. The LFG system will be overhauled. If you want to see what is currently in store for The Elder Scrolls Online in 2016, it is worth a read.
