Titanfall Developer Respawn Entertainment Launches F2P Battle Royale Game Apex Legends

Titanfall Developer, Respawn Entertainment, launched Apex Legends today, a free to play battle royale game on PC, Xbox One, and PS4. Unlike other battle royale games, players choose from one of 8 different classes, each with their own unique abilities. So it's more hero shooter meets battle royale than the typical Playerunknown's Battlegrounds style game. The game is available right now on EA's Origin service as well as the Xbox and Playstation stores.

The game currently only supports 60 players per game, so it's not quite the full 100 player battle royale experience that PUBG and Fortnite deliver, but more akin to Ring of Elysium, which also supports 60 players. The game also only supports squads of up to 3 at the moment.
