Torchlight Infinite Officially Moves Out Of Early Access To Full Release Today
Torchlight Infinite is transitioning out of early access tonight and bringing with it a ton of new updates and features. If you’ve yet to join the fun since its early access debut in 2021, then this is the perfect time to do so. Developer XD Games has been hard at work, ironing out the kinks in the online ARPG’s gameplay and monetization system while also adding multiplayer support
The global launch of Torchlight Infinite will also usher in a brand-new season called Cube of Rapacity which introduces a new game mechanic in the form of cubes. These cubes will appear at every stage of the game and players will encounter monsters influenced by them, called Malice Incarnations, which they can defeat to earn Desire Crystals.
These crystals can then be exchanged for various rewards from the Cube of Rapacity. Players who are lucky enough can even draw the Cube of Craving and receive even more valuable rewards. With a bit of greed and luck, it’s possible to double the rewards, but if luck isn't on your side, you might lose everything.
The new season also introduces a unique season talent called Avarice Code, which allows players to alter the Talent Node to customize their season experience. They can either choose to fill the map with Malice Incarnations or increase their luck to improve their chances of obtaining the Cube of Craving. This means players can have a completely different experience each time they play.
If that isn't enough to entice you, the new season also features a new supreme boss called The Law Bearer. Defeating Malice Incarnations has a chance to drop the ticket needed to encounter this incredibly powerful boss, and the rewards are definitely worth the challenge.
The new season also adds new systems, including the Divinity Slate and Statue of the New God, as well as new playable hero Escapist Bing, a new challenge system called the Hunter’s Forge, and much more.
