Uncharted Waters Online Enters The Industrial Revolution

Uncharted Waters Online advanced a whole technological era earlier this week with the release of the "Age of Revolution Chapter 1: Industrial Revolution" update. The core of the update is a new system where each nation can use a "Technology Development" system to unlock new recipes by "[triggering] an Industrial Revolution." Once an industrial revolution has been triggered, players of that nation will have access to steam engines and "modern" firearms, such as flamethrowers and gatling guns.

The update also introduces new weather and phenomena, such as "a large belt-shaped cloud" that is upwards of 1000 km long, "fireballs erupting from the ocean," and noctiluca, "a phenomenon in which the sea appears to be glowing due to the emission of light from creatures inhabiting [...] the sea." Companies can now dispatch "Aide Fleets," which will "help Aides grow."
