Unlike most MMOs and live service games, the V Rising dev team is taking its sweet time with its updates. It’s apparently going to be another long wait for the vampire survival game’s next major update which will also mark its transition from early access to full release.

“We’re aiming to make the next update V Rising’s full release, THE BIG 1.0, and it will require a similar development timeframe as Gloomrot of around a year,” revealed developer Star Vault. “It involves further developing our existing systems to make them more engaging, exploring new possible features, and adding more content.”

The update will also introduce the final chapter of the game’s PvE adventure. “In the next phase of V Rising, a grand conclusion to the vampire legend awaits,” teased the studio. “It signifies the pinnacle of your journey to supremacy and marks the start of your reign as the apex predator of Vardoran. It’s the end of your ascension but the beginning of your legend. It serves as a satisfying conclusion to this chapter while leaving room for more adventures ahead.”

In addition to introducing new content, Star Vault says that they’ll also be updating their tools to streamline their development process. Although the upgrade will take time, the team says that it will result in a smoother workflow and improved efficiency beyond Version 1.0. “That means better content, faster,” touted the studio.

The studio also crunched the numbers and dropped some interesting statistics about its playerbase, nearly 25% of which felt that the game wasn’t challenging enough. 44% of V Rising’s players also reportedly avoid PvP altogether. Additional stats can be found on the V Rising official site.
