Iron Gate is back with more information about the upcoming Valheim Hearth & Home update which, according to the devs, is still on track for release this quarter. A new blog post on Steam offers a preview of some of the new building items and décor that Viking survivors will be able to use to spruce up their longhouses when the update finally comes out.

As we reported last month, the Hearth & Home update will feature new building additions such as new darkwood roofs, new window hatches, pots and pans, a butcher table, and a spice rack to ermm… spice up the Cooking Station. And, like any good Viking, players will also be able to build a dragon worthy hoard with new coin stacks and piles and treasure chests. Players will also gain access to the Iron Gate building piece that they can use to keep their loot and supplies safe or build their own creepy dungeon.

Aside from new building pieces and furnishings, the Hearth & Home update will also introduce a new food system that will offer different boosts for each food item.

Hearth & Home was initially scheduled to launch in the first half of 2021 but has been pushed back to Q3 2021 to make sure that the update is as polished as it can be.

More information can be found on the Valheim Steam page.
