Vindictus Revamps 8 Characters in Latest Patch—More to Come!

Vindictus, Nexon’s long-running free-to-play MMORPG, just rolled out a character revamp that breathes new life into eight of its heroes, proving that the 14-year-old Mabinogi spinoff still has some fight left in it.

Version 3.16 is the first of several “utility improvement” patches for the year and focuses on smoothing out the rough edges in the playstyles of Sylas, Lynn, Dan-Ah, Delia, Latiya, Letty, Evie, and Grimden. “While one goal was to minimize changes to how each of these characters operate, there may be some less predictable changes in DPS performance,” Nexon warns. In other words, don’t be too shocked if your main suddenly feels like they're packing a bit more (or less) punch.

The developers are also keen to keep things balanced, with the patch notes clarifying that skill power remains the same for now, though adjustments could come down the road if anything gets too out of hand. Think of it as Nexon playing the role of a cautious dungeon master, tweaking things without breaking your build—at least not yet.

This overhaul follows hot on the heels of last month’s new character addition: Sanyaa, Vindictus’s 25th playable character. However, the devs are holding off on revamping her just yet, waiting for more player data before deciding if she needs a tune-up. With two more patches on the horizon, expect another wave of character tweaks soon.

So, if you’ve been thinking about revisiting Vindictus, now might be the perfect time to test out your newly polished (or nerfed) characters!
