Warframe Devs Highlight A New Enemy Type And The Reworked Plains Of Eidolon Zone

warframe hidlyn frameAside from churning out new content for Warframe, Digital Extremes are also actively working to overhaul a few areas and features of the game. In a livestream held over the weekend, devs shone the spotlight on the upcoming changes to the space ninja MMORPG.

One of the highlights of the devstream is the new enemy type called Amalgam. The Amalgam are a combination of Corpus and Sentients and will be part of the new, improved, and more dangerous Gas City. They are equipped with a variety of unique abilities that will challenge even the most hardcore veterans.

The devs also gave the community a glimpse of the reworked Plains of Eidolon. The popular open zone will feature a visual upgrade along with a more efficient Bounty system that will let players select a new Bounty without returning to Cetus.

The Abilities screen will also be getting an overhaul to make it easier for players to pick abilities for their frames. Each ability will now feature videos of what they do along with tips gathered from the devs and the players themselves.

The updates will be rolled out in chunks over the course of the year with part of the Abilities Screen update going live as early as next week’s update. Next week’s update also brings with it the new Hidlyn Frame, the new Revenant’s Sword weapon, and other game improvements.

You’ll find the devstream in its entirety right after the jump.
