This week’s Warframe Update 30.9.0 will be a big one for both new players and veterans alike. While the update doesn’t add a lot of new content to the space ninja-themed action game, it does introduce several significant quality-of-life improvements and new features ahead of the highly-awaited The New War expansion’s release, including the new Tenno Guide tutorial system.

“The ‘Tenno Guide’ adds a new UI notification when inside the Orbiter! A lot of new players have felt lost once they finish Vor’s Prize, and this persistent reminder will guide new Tenno to their next steps. We hope this change makes the biggest impact to a new player in Warframe. There is a lot to know about our game, and the Tenno Guide will help new Tenno focus on what matters at that point and time in their journey!”

The new feature will be auto-enabled upon logging in and can be disabled by navigating to Options > Interface and unchecking the Show Tenno Guide option.

The upcoming update will also make life a whole lot easier for new players thanks to the cost and time reductions for several in-game activities. These include reduced Railjack part crafting times from 1 hour to 1 minute, lower crafting costs for Amp parts, reduced standing cost for Refined Ores and Gemsand, and a 50% increase in the drop rate of Necramech parts, among others.

For veteran players, the Forma system will also be getting a major revamp which will have a player’s Mastery Rank determine how many abilities they unlock by default when using Forma.

“We want your Mastery Rank to be considered when using Forma to establish a baseline power level for your playable characters! If a Mastery Rank 30 player uses a Forma, they won’t have to re-unlock any Abilities (or their Ranks) on a given item! Yes, they’ll still need to level the gear itself to apply another Forma, but the Abilities are no longer locked depending on your Mastery Rank! This achieves our goal of keeping Forma essential to build customization, but allowing players with higher Mastery Ranks a more convenient experience.”

Dojos will also be getting various upgrades with the addition of basic and advanced decorating modes, decoration scaling, the ability to add an arrival gate (spawn point) anywhere within the dojo, and remapped controller bindings for decoration.

Update 30.9.0 goes live on November 11th. Check out the video below for an overview of the changes arriving with the update.
