Wayfinder’s long-awaited global closed beta test has finally begun after facing multiple delays. The playtest is open to all testers who were invited to participate in last year’s PC-only beta test in addition to a fresh batch of testers who should be receiving their invites between now and 2 p.m. PDT. New players needn’t worry about late to the party though as the servers have been wiped and everyone will be starting from scratch.

Returning Wayfinders will be treated to an exciting array of new features and improvements, including two new boss hunts, increased movement speed, the ability to perform air dashes, and an extensive list of UI/UX changes. Testers will also be able to craft the characters Kyros and Senja, as well as their signature weapons. They’re also being asked to put the newly added cash shop through its paces.

“All players are encouraged to test the in-game player store where you can unlock 3 custom weapon skins, trinkets, loading screens, Gloom Dagger Skin and 10 new cosmetic dyes,” said the devs. “To access the bundle, open up your player menu and navigate to Shop you will find the Beta Test Bundle for 1000 Runesilver (which all accounts have been granted for this test).”

“This bundle is purely for system testing and is not reflective of final prices or structure. Just like everything else in beta it will not transfer to you account for Early Access or Full Release,” they warned.

It’s also important to note that the NDA remain in effect for this round of testing, limiting the ability to openly view and discuss the game. This will also be the first playtest on the PlayStation 4 so expect to see glitches and other technical issues pop up over the next few days.

The Wayfinder global beta test will run until the morning of May 29th which will fall on this year’s Memorial Day celebrations in the US.
