World Of Fishing Enters Open Beta

Maltese publisher Insel Games has announced that their English service for Masangsoft's World of Fishing has now entered Open Beta. Following a four month-long Closed Beta, it is finally available to everyone. Supposedly, it has been "completely revamped and customized for the western market," as well, so it may be worth checking out even if you are familiar with the Korean version.

World of Fishing is said to "[offer] a deep and motivating experience to gamers and hobbyist fishermen alike." Reworked features include balance changes, localization, upgraded features—"especially for beginners"—and an all-new musical score. Over 100 changes and improvements are said to have been made in order to fully westernize the game.

Starting with the Open Beta launch, the in-game shop is said to include premium items that allow players to "create unique characters" and "upgrade their equipment further." It sounds a bit like it could be pay-to-win, but, as I have not played it yet, I could not say.
