World Of Warcraft Classic‘s ‘The Fresh Crusade’ Initiative Is Now 7000 Players Strong

The number of players joining the player-organized fresh start campaign known as “The Fresh Crusade” has ballooned from 1300 to a whopping 7000 players in just a few days. The official headcount was revealed by the campaign’s organizer, Cazhar, on The Fresh Crusade Discord.

Cazhar started the initiative in response to Blizzard Entertainment’s failure to introduce a new vanilla server ahead of The Burning Crusade’s launch later this year. By rerolling together on a low-pop realm, Cazhar and his growing horde of supporters aim to start on equal footing without bots and economy inflation ruining the experience. Of course with that many players on a server, it’s only a matter of time before bots and inflation start to become a problem again.

The Fresh Crusade will be picking a server and starting from scratch within the day. God speed everyone!
