Blizzard Entertainment continues its World of Warcraft: Dragonflight preview series with a tour the city of Valdrakken, home of the legendary dragonflights. The city is located in the region of Thaldraszus both of which are now available for testing on the alpha test server.

Valdrakken is the seat of power of the dragonflights and the main player hub for the Dragon Isles. The city is a colorful mosaic of areas dedicated to each of the five dragonflights. The Blue Dragonflight houses a collection of ancient tomes and manuscripts in their public library, the Green and Red have their private gardens, the Black offers various vendors and profession stations, while the Bronze Dragonflight houses the Timewalkers faction, a group of dragons and mortals working to study and preserve the timeways. The largest building in the city, the Seat of the Aspects, also houses portals to Stormwind and Orgrimmar.

“A shining treasure within Thaldraszus, Valdrakken is a testament to the power of cooperation between the dragonflights and dragonkin. It serves as a hub of activity for all who visit the Dragon Isles and provides a variety of services,” Blizzard says. “This bejeweled city is a feast for the eyes and ears, with waterfalls cascading down the mountain surrounding the city and breathtaking views overlooking nearby Tyrhold. There is a tranquility here even as the Dragonflights work with their allies to reclaim their homeland and reestablish a presence in their city.”

The dragon city also houses The Roasted Ram inn, where adventurers can kick back and relax after adventuring around the Dragon Isles, and the Crafter’s Consortium where players can hone their crafting skills. The Consortium is also the only place where players can create Crafting Orders to have various items made, or pick up an order to practice their crafting and earn a little extra gold on the side.

“There’s plenty to discover in this majestic metropolis. Whether you’re visiting for profit or as a place to rest between your adventures, you’ll find what you need here.”
