There’s still work to be done in the Dragon Isles before World of Warcraft players make their way back to Azeroth for The War Within expansion next year. After a brief delay, Patch 10.2: Guardians of the Dream officially went live late last night, opening the gates to the Emerald Dream where they’ll go up against the Primal Incarnate Fyrakk and his evil druid minions to protect the blossoming new world tree.

The new zone includes new story quests and events that will ultimately lead to a fight against Fyrakk the Blazing and seven other bosses in the new Amirdrassil raid. Raid drops include new class armor sets, dragonriding mounts, and Fyrrak’s aptly named two-handed axe, Fyr’alath, the Dream Render.

“Guardians of the Dream is now live and stouthearted champions are called to protect a new zone—The Emerald Dream, engage in new Public Events— Superbloom and Emerald Bounty, build Renown with the Dream Wardens for unique rewards, and save the new World Tree from Fyrakk's forces in a new Raid—Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope.”

Guardians of the Dream also added new Druid shapeshifting forms, a bunch of new Blood Elf customization options, a new world boss, a fresh set of Mythic+ dungeons, the new Blitz Brawl battleground for PvP enthusiasts, and more. PvP gear have also been incorporated into the universal upgrade system for a more streamlined experience for both hardcore and casual players. There’s also a new dragon racing event in the Eastern Kingdoms if you’re looking to snag some new dragon skins and transmog sets.

The official launch trailer awaits you below. You’ll also find the updated Guardians of the Dream patch notes here.
