World Of Warcraft China Shifts To Monthly Subscription
SuperData Research's latest report on the worldwide digital games market is here and it brings with it some interesting news about the Chinese release of World of Warcraft. According to the report, with the release of World of Warcraft: Legion, Chinese publisher NetEase shifted the title from a "pay by the hour" model to a monthly subscription model. It is stated that the move was received positively by the game's Chinese audience and that the game's "NetEase-processed revenue" for August was up to $37 million from July's $8 million.
