Multiplayer First-Person Shooter XDefiant Touts 1 Million Closed Beta Players

Ubisoft’s XDefiant is taking the gaming world by storm with over a million players already participating in its closed beta.

Produced by Mark Rubin, the brain behind the original Modern Warfare games, XDefiant offers a fast and furious gameplay experience that will keep you on the edge of your seat. But this isn't just another generic FPS. XDefiant features unique game modes inspired by Team Fortress 2 and Overwatch, as well as special abilities like a flamethrower ultimate that will leave your opponents burning with envy.

While Twitch viewership has decreased since its initial release, XDefiant's popularity is still skyrocketing. With former CoD producer Robert Bowling praising XDefiant as a "refinement" of what CoD used to be, it's no wonder gamers everywhere are buzzing about this game.

Ubisoft has yet to announce a release date for the first-person shooter but with its closed beta now in full swing it’s likely going to launch sooner rather than later.
