XLGames CEO Jake Song Drops More Information About ArcheAge 2

archeage monthly progress report bannerSince XLGames announced last September that ArcheAge 2 is now in-developmen, we’ve heard very little about the upcoming game. CEO Jake Song reveals a little more information about the ArcheAge sequel during last week’s G-Star event in Busan, South Korea.

According to Song, the events of ArcheAge 2 will be set 2,000 years before the events of the original game and will take place in the ancient home of the humans, elves, and dwarves – the North Continent of Auroria. Song also confirmed that some of the races that didn’t make it to the original game will be playable in the sequel.

Song also said that the upcoming game will be focus on exploration just like ArcheAge and that crafting, trading, farming, and player housing will be more strongly connected. He also revealed that they’re currently testing new iterations of the housing system which includes a player-run township system. And since the game takes place 2,000 years before the war between the East Continent of Haranya and the West Continent of Nuia, all wars will take place on the main continent.
