Crowfall is a 3D fantasy MMORPG focused primarily on large scale PvP battles. The game promises action oriented combat rather than the 'tab targeting' method found in traditional MMORPGs. Rather than a single game environment, Crowfall contains many procedurally generated worlds players can conquer with their guilds.

Crowfall Overview

Crowfall is an ambitious new MMORPG project that attempts to blend the MMO and strategy genres. A self-styled 'Throne War Simulator', most of the instanced worlds in Crowfall are not persistent, but will instead reset after win conditions are met. Players will keep their characters between these world resets, thus marrying the persistence of a MMORPG with the match style found in strategy games.

The primary focus in Crowfall will be PvP battles to conquer territory which places a strong emphasis on action oriented combat. Crowfall de-emphasizes combat healing to make for more fluid battles, though there will still be support archetypes.

Crowfall will be a Buy to Play (B2P) title requiring an initial purchase of ~$50 and is raising some of its funding through a Kickstarter campaign.

Gordon Walton was executive producer for Ultima Online, Star Wars Galaxies, The Sims Online, and Star Wars The Old Republic. J. Todd Coleman was creative director at Shadowbane, Wizard101, and Pirate101.
