This month’s Lost Ark update might not be as heavy on content as previous releases, but it does offer a few new challenges for players to take on while most of the community is still struggling to clear one of its toughest encounters to date, the Thaemine Legion Raid.

May’s Chaos Rising update drops later today featuring the Thaemine epilogue quests and setting the stage for the new Hanumatan Trial Guardian Raid which will officially be opening its doors at 12 p.m. PST on May 25.

“500 years ago, Guardian Hanumatan crushed enemies in battle for the side of Light. When the war ended, Hanumatan went into a deep slumber. He awoke only after sensing chaotic energies possessing Arkesia, and concluded that the humans were the threats to the Arkesia. Hanumatan needs be stopped before his wrath destroys Arkesia.”

Meanwhile, you can make your way over to the new new Cruel Toy Castle Adventure Island which can be found somewhere in the southern seas of Shushire. Once there, you’ll be able to take on a new questline that will reward you with a new title, new achievements, a Mokoko Seed, an Island Soul, and a new toy.

The update will also introduce six new Music Box of Memories stories with improved cutscenes and new jukebox music, titles, and achievements to earn. If you’re an anime fan, a new bundle of ‘80s and ‘90s anime-themed cosmetics will also be available for purchase in the cash shop.

You’ll find the Chaos Rising update notes on the Lost Ark official site if you want to read up on its contents ahead of its release.
