Azeroth has been reborn again in fire and brimstone as the Cataclysm expansion officially launches on the World of Warcraft Classic servers.

“Following Deathwing the Destroyer's cataclysmic entrance, which left a festering wound across Azeroth, heroes are called to once again experience a dramatically reforged Azeroth and defend it from utter devastation.”

In addition to the world-shattering changes and new race/class options that arrived with the pre-patch, the expansion also opened up seven new zones, bumped up the level cap to 85, and significantly increased the weekly and seasonal caps for Valor and Conquest Points, respectively. Chaos Orbs which were bind-on-pickup during the beta test are also back to being bind-on-pickup, just as they were back when Cataclysm first came out in 2010.

The expansion will also introduce the new world bosses, Akma’hat, Garr, Julak-Doom, Mobus, Poseidus, and Garr, as well as the first boss of the Baradin Hold raid, Argaloth, after the first weekly reset on the week of June 4. Do note that unlike in the original expansion’s release, players will be able to take on Heroic raids without having to complete them first on Normal difficulty.

Unfortunately, it looks like the expanded is still missing from the current build with no definite release timeline as of this writing.
