Since Activision first unveiled Warzone 2.0 back in June, the studio has been rather stingy about the details of the Call of Duty: Warzone sequel, let alone its launch date. The studio, however, has finally given in and revealed that the standalone sequel will launch alongside the first season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Fortunately, Activision has already announced their release timeline for Modern Warfare 2 which will be launching on October 28th complete with multiplayer. Season 1 is set to begin a few weeks after on November 16th which should also mark the release of Warzone 2.0.

The sequel to Activision’s ridiculously popular battle royale shooter will come with several significant changes, including a new map called Al Mazrah which is the game’s biggest map yet. And instead of having one encroaching circle in battle royale mode, multiple circles will be present across the map at the start of the game which will eventually combine into one final circle as the match nears its end.

Warzone 2.0 will also feature an Escape From Tarkov-like extraction shooter mode called DMZ. Meanwhile the game is now in beta testing on PlayStation consoles with the PC beta following a bit later on September 22nd.
